Seafood 1The seafood market provides the largest selection of fresh seafood outside of Sydney every day. We strive to bring you the best of seasonal products, any day you may walk in and find anything from local Flathead to Atlantic Salmon to rock oysters to lobsters. As one of only a few registered seafood receivers on the Central Coast you can rest assured that our seafood is coming directly from the source, fresh from the boat. Some of our staff may have caught what they’re selling! Make sure to come in and ask for the catch of the day.

How: Smaller fish are best roasted whole & stuffed, larger are best filleted and BBQ'd on hot plate w/ skin on

What: Delicate light fleshed fish w/ very sweet flavour. Salt water fish caught in waterways and off coast. Feeds 2 – 8 people.
How: Fillet and bake in tinfoil with shallots & vegetables. Also good cooked on hot plate of BBQ with skin on.

What: Light fleshed w/ strong sea flavour, saltwater fish, caught off coast and on reefs, feeds 1-2 people
How: Fillet & remove skin and bones, pan fry in seasoned flour, serve w/ light salad

Market PrawnLocal School Prawns

What: Small - medium sized school prawns w/ delicate sweet flesh, caught in Tuggerah lakes and Hawkesbury River mouth
How: Can be marinated in hot Szechuan spices & flour and pan fried until pink. Serve w/ lemon and beer.

Market OysterSydney Rock Oyster

What: Small - medium oyster native to Sydney, Central Coast basin. Strong briny flavour. Excellent quality from Brisbane Waters.
How: Serve natural with your choice of condiment. Recommended are salt & pepper, lemon, tobasco etc… Great with a cold glass of dry white wine.

Market OysterpacificPacific Oyster

What: Medium – extra large oyster found all over eastern & southern Australia. Mild sea flavour with creamy texture. Excellent quality from Patonga. 
How: Serve natural but with its mild flavour can be used for any number of recipes. Try with lime zest & juice, sugar and chopped coriander.
